A monounsaturated food diet plan can help you lose weight in just a couple of weeks, without having to eliminate the fat foods from your meals. It may seem a bit unbelievable, but this diet which is based on monounsaturated foods really works.

Recent research has proven that these diets rich in monounsaturated fat can eliminate the fat stored in the belly without any additional exercise and without having to reduce the number of calories. The monounsaturated fats can be found in avocados, nuts and in oils like olive and canola. The monounsaturated fats can prevent many diseases such as heart diseases, diabetes, and can even help you lose the extra fat found on the belly.

In order for this food diet to work you must eat monounsaturated fats with every meal and you must also have three meals per day, each having 400 calories and two snacks of about 200 calories. This is a total of about 1600 calories per day.
The foods that contain the monounsaturated fats are nuts and seeds, olives, avocado, oils, and chocolate. The oils include canola, olive, peanut, flaxseed, safflower, sunflower, sesame and walnut. A serving must be one tablespoon. Nuts and seeds can include brazil nuts, peanuts, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts and tahini. A serving must be 2 tablespoons. For the avocado, a serving is half a cup and for the olives, a serving may include ten large olives. As for the chocolate a serving is half a cup, but you should take into consideration to limit the intake of chocolate to only one meal per day.
